Themiscyra city of Pontus found sunken off the Turkish coast, near Çatalzeytin on the Küre Escarpment.

The surrounding walls of the submerged city begin around the current city of Sinope, where Diogenes of Sinope was born, famous as a philosopher and for his meeting with Alexander the Great. The walls continue underwater for 77 km until reaching the inhabited center, rectangular in shape, the same shape that we have already found in the submerged Iblean Carbonate Platform Sicily-Malta, known as “the sunken city of 苏 美 邻”.
But while the sunken city of 苏美邻 is about 20 km long, this one is about 50 km long. It must therefore have had a much greater importance, at least judging by the grandiose majesty of the buildings currently submerged by the waters. The new discovery is located almost overhanging the Küre Escarpment, exactly as the Amazons (Αμαζόνες) Themiscyra (Pontus) Kingdoms should be.
Probably the reason why Themiscyra was built there is that the paleocosta was located here.
